Skinny Smoothies

Start your day the right way

Oats are a great source of B vitamins, which we need for our nervous system to run
smoothly. Oats are also extremely soothing to the gut. With the oats and almond milk
being high in magnesium, this makes for a very comforting smoothie. It will keep you on
an even keel and is a great start to the day, as it produces a slow, steady release of energy

Start Your Day The Right Way


1½ tsps of soaked and drained oats
1–2 cups (250–500 ml) of unsweetened almond milk or filtered water
a handful of kohlrabi leaves or whatever green leaves you have
1 x apple
1 x tsp ground cinnamon
2-inch piece of fresh ginger


Soak the oats before you make the smoothie for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Then add all the ingredients to your blender and off you go. You can grate the
ginger in if you prefer.
