Try a spicy banana smoothie to boost your immune system and reduce inflamation

This is the ultimate immune boosting smoothie. Just by adding a chunk of fresh ginger to your smoothies will provide you with some incredible health benefits such as, aiding digestion, reducing inflamation and also helping your body to detoxify naturally. Some suggest it may even alleviate pain from arthritis and menstrual pains. Ginger is like a natural healthy anti-inflamatory drug which also boosts your immunity.

Spicy Banana (Serves 2)


2 x cups of spinach
2 x cups of unsweetened coconut milk
3 x bananas *
1/2 a piece of fresh ginger, peeled
½ a teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ a teaspoon ground cardamom


1. Blend the spinach and coconut milk until smooth.
2. Add the bananas, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom and blend again.

TIP 1: For a gut-healing superboost, swap 1 cup coconut milk for 1 cup coconut yogurt.
This recipe makes great ice pops!

TIP 2: A little ginger goes a long way, so if you’re not used to using fresh ginger, start off small and add
more as your tastebuds adjust. If you’re feeling the sniffles or a cold coming on, ginger will help kick
